Ladies,
Today is a day for grace. Grace, the beautiful, lavish gifts of God, poured out on us so unceasingly. Did the sun rise this morning while you sipped your coffee? Grace. Have you laughed out loud with a friend this week? Grace.
The biggest grace, the best gift, is of course the love of Jesus, which you did not (can not) earn, which you will not (can not) un-earn. Not only does He forgive us, overlook our faults, promise to ca
rry us and save us, He plots the course of your life. And there it is, significance. Purpose.
Are you a mother today? Your life is charged with meaning. You are a bearer of grace. You pass on, day after day, the love of Christ and the brilliance of joy to His small children. When they test you, vex you, amaze you, frighten you, they act out God’s grace in a thousand ways, His gift to you.
Are you not a mother? Your life is charged with meaning. You are a bearer of grace. For every person you meet, you shine the love of Christ and the brilliance of joy, bringing light into all the dark places you go.
Ladies, you are significant not because you are a parent or not; you are significant because your parent is Father God. You’re just a cheese grater in the great scheme of things — but the candle burning inside shines out a hundred pinpricks of light. Christ has made you beautiful, and so you bring beauty to the world.
Have a grace day today. You are loved!
